Accessibility
The smooth-running of events is at the top of our priority list, along with the welfare and satisfaction of our clients and their delegates. Our experienced event specialists will work closely with you to ensure that all requirements are well considered before you arrive at our venue.
Inclusion and accessibility for all is hugely important to us, our aim being to expertly manage events from behind the scenes so that our visitors can relax and enjoy their visit to our venues.
With this in mind, all buildings on the University campuses have been reviewed with regards to accessibility and have been updated to comply with the Equality Act. Although rare, there may be instances where full access cannot be offered, due to the nature of some of our historical buildings. Alternative options will be given and we always recommend a site visit for reassurance with regards to suitability for your event.
In terms of equipment, we can provide venue hearing loops, vibrating alarm pillows in bedrooms for those staying overnight and we welcome assistance dogs in our venues. For other specialist requirements, we will happily take advice from the designated University Accessibility Team, in order to best meet your needs.
