Research Conferences
Research conferences provide the rare opportunity in which key individuals from your field or specialism come together from all over the world. A perfect platform to network, form partnerships and share knowledge with both peers and people from your academic community.
As well as raising your profile, hosting a research conference affords you the opportunity to hone your organisational, management and communication skills beyond those used in your day to day role. In addition you have an external, invested and knowledgeable audience. An audience who have the potential to advance, challenge and focus your future research activity.
The Bidding Process - With You Every Step of The Way
Submitting a robust bid, which outlines projected costs, margins and funding opportunities is key. Following on from your submission, a team from the society will then come to Exeter to assess the venue as a host for your research conference. They will look at everything from facilities, accessibility and planning, through to proposed events, social spaces, food, amenities and the programme.
Our dedicated events team are on hand to guide you through the bid preparation process. They have a wealth of experience in creating and delivering proposals and pride themselves on attention to detail. Work alongside them and take advantage of their invaluable guidance. It’s immensely rewarding and will strengthen your academic CV.
