Event Sales Specialist - Event Exeter team

The Events Team are currently looking for a team player to join their crew. If you're outgoing, motivated and confident with people, then this role could be right up your street.

Summary of the role/position

Reporting to the Head of Event Operations we are looking for someone that can support our clients by delivering an impressive customer experience. 

You will work to shape the customer experience within the dynamic team by organizing meetings, functions, rooms, catering and social programmes. While also gaining an understanding of the goals and articulating these to stakeholders, therefore previous experience of a customer facing environment is required.

Ideally you have solid experience of using Kinetics booking system but not essential, however you will be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The post will require you to be well organised with excellent attention to detail, and a high level of administration to ensure our clients have accurate and up to date information for event delivery. You will be expected to have first rate communication skills, both on the telephone and face to face for client meetings. You should be friendly and outgoing, whilst driven to succeed, and have a high level of commercial acumen to ensure the greatest results.

Together with providing a marketing, sales and event co-ordination service, Event Exeter also manages a number of the University's venues. Our focus is to maximise income generation through the effective management of venue space, when not in use by students and staff.  We set high standards and expect the very best from our team.

  • Provide account management for events in the portfolio
  •  Provide support to clients across all events
  • Maintain key event documents
  • Meet deadlines
  • All aspects of onsite support
  • Provide consistent and concise communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Processing and documenting event invoices
  • Be a supportive team member
