Student Society Events
Is it down to you to organise your society events? Are you responsible for ensuring the season end is celebrated in style? Whatever your society, whatever the reason, we are on hand to help design and deliver you an exceptional event experience here at the University of Exeter.
Whether you’re planning a big event or something more low-key, we’ve got you covered. The Great Hall is spot-on for large gatherings, while Reed Hall brings all the cosy, historic vibes for smaller dinners. For party nights, the Lemon Grove never disappoints, and Cross Keys is perfect for chilled-out, informal get-togethers.
Working with us
The Event Exeter team members are specialists in their field and will work with you every step of the way. From initial event discussions to delivery on the day, they are here to ensure that no stone is left unturned.
Aside from flexible venue spaces, we appreciate that great food plays a big part in any successful event. Our talented in-house chefs craft delicious dishes designed to impress your guests and keep everyone well fed. We have food and drink packages to suit all budgets. If you opt for a two-course banquet or a bbq on the lawn, attention to detail will always be key.
Keen to add an extra dimension? Our team work with a whole host of local suppliers who can bring your ideas to life. Whether it’s a cosy Christmas party, a big summer ball, inflatable team games or yoga on the lawn, whatever your vision, we’ll bring it to life
I'd like to thank you and the rest of the team at Reed Hall for an amazing night! Our members had an amazing time, and were very impressed with the venue itself and the service on the night. I'll be sure to pass on our positive experience to other societies, as well as next year's committee of our society!

WHY EXETER
There are many reasons why Exeter stands out as an exceptional choice for your next event.
Which other event venue can boast the ‘best-gardened campus in Britain’, as described by The Times and a Britain in Bloom award-winning campus of 300 acres? Not only does this provide ample thinking space but being self-contained means we also provide seclusion and security, just 10 minutes from Exeter city centre.
As well as the vibrant and eclectic city centre, also on our doorstep are the stunning beaches and moors of Devon, Exmoor and Cornwall, all offering a plethora of activities, scenery and local produce to enjoy in down-time.
Travelling to the South West needn’t be a headache with Exeter being located just off the M5 motorway and with a mainline train station and international airport too. Getting around once you’re here is easy too, with strong transport links and a range of options to reach the wider South West.
